Leadership Team

Mr. Ragan joined KBW in 1993, and has spent his entire professional career within the firm's Equity Trading division. Based in KBW's Boston office, he is currently Head of the Equities group, Director of Equity Trading and serves on the firm's Executive Committee.

Mr. Ragan is a graduate of Boston College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and a Masters in Finance from Boston College's Carroll School of Management. He is also a volunteer for charitable organizations including the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Mr. McCaffery joined KBW in 2002. In his current role, Mr. McCaffery manages the U.S. Equity Sales group and also serves on the firm's Executive Committee. He is responsible for recommending financial sector equity investments for mutual fund and hedge fund portfolio managers. Prior to joining KBW, Mr. McCaffery worked as a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs in the FICC division.

Mr. McCaffery is a graduate of The Wharton School (BS) and College of Arts and Sciences (BA) at The University of Pennsylvania and received his MBA from The Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Mr. Bird joined KBW in July 2004 and is responsible for overseeing the firm's Equity Sales Group out of Europe.

He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Birmingham University and a Masters in Finance from ISMA Centre, Reading University.

Mr. Grant joined KBW in 2005 and is responsible for assisting with oversight of Equity Trading operations. Previously, he worked as an equity trading associate at Ryan Beck & Co.

Mr. Grant graduated from Bucknell University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Mr. Jaffe joined KBW in 2004 and is based in the firm's New York headquarters. He is responsible for running the firm's large- and mid-cap repurchase efforts, as well as At-the-market offerings. Mr. Jaffe has over 20 years of industry experience, previously holding the position of VP of Equity Trading at JP Morgan and, prior to that, working in Private Client Services at Merrill Lynch.

Mr. Jaffe holds an MBA from Cornell's Johnson School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California Berkeley.

Mr. Kavanagh currently serves as Head of European Trading at KBW, based in firm's London office. He joined KBW in 2004 as one of the firm's first hires in Europe. Mr. Kavanagh came to KBW directly from Fox-Pitt Kelton and also spent time at J.P. Morgan as a proprietary and facilitation trader. Overall, he has more than 20 years of trading experience.

Mr. Wolfe is jointly responsible for managing the U.S. Equity Sales and Corporate and Private Client Services operations at KBW. He joined the firm's Institutional Equity Sales group in 2002 from UBS Warburg, where he was a financial services specialist in the sales department covering mutual fund and hedge fund clients. Prior to that, Mr. Wolfe researched banks in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions for KBW. He also worked as a corporate finance associate at Charles Webb and Co., which was acquired by KBW in July 1996.

Mr. Wolfe is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
