Michele Vitagliano joined KBW in 2026 and is a Managing Director in the European FinTech investment banking team.
He has over 15 years of M&A and equity capital markets experience in the sector, advising payments, financial software, digital assets and RegTech businesses and their investors on cross-border and domestic transactions across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
Prior to KBW, Michele led HSBC's European FinTech team, where he oversaw the integration of Silicon Valley Bank's FinTech client portfolio. Before joining HSBC, he held several FinTech roles in the European investment banking teams of Jefferies and Morgan Stanley. Earlier in his career, he co-founded and scaled a technology business, bringing a founder's perspective to his advisory work.
Michele was a Visiting Scholar at MIT and holds a Master's in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic of Turin and a Master's in Finance from ESCP Europe.
