Macro Research

KBW's Equity Research Division complements our company-specific analyses with research on the following macroeconomic topics:

Equity Strategy

Our Equity Strategy analysts perform macro-level analyses of events driving the global financial services sector. The team creates an Economic Baseline for the department to ensure a consistent economic and interest rate backdrop for all KBW estimates. We also offer a quantitative-fundamental analysis of banks that creates signals for relative under- and overweights and is updated with changes in earnings estimates.

Fintech

Our Fintech Research Group focuses on the forces driving the digital banking and payments evolution across American and international markets. Based on a deep understanding of global fintech trends, we frame potential opportunities for both incumbent players and potential disruptors within the digital banking and payments space.

Quantitative Analysis

Our Quantitative Analysis Group analyzes key macroeconomic issues impacting financial stocks and the market at large. We quantify the impact of technical trading and focus on timely, market-moving research. Additionally, we provide information for client-specific issues and data requests.

Global Research

The KBW institutional client has access to our global in-depth research and analysis. We cover approximately 600 financial stocks worldwide, providing a global reach that gives KBW analysts the ability to compare financial sectors with in-depth reports on global banks, insurance, exchanges and asset managers. KBW also provides investors with an index of global banks, the GBKX, that includes all banks deemed systemically important by the Basel Committee.
